Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This policy explains what AppraisePartners collects, why, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, write to privacy@appraisepartners.com and we will answer in plain language.
AppraisePartners ("we", "the service") is a software product operated by em8, registered in Sweden. em8 is the data controller for the personal data described below.
Who uses this service
AppraisePartners is a tool for commercial real estate brokers. Our users are brokers who sign in to the product. We also process information about property owners, which comes from public records and licensed data vendors rather than from those owners directly. Both are covered below, because the distinction matters and most policies blur it.
What we collect from you, the broker
- Account information — your name, work email address, phone number and the brokerage you work for, so the product knows who you are and outreach can be signed correctly.
- Content you create — the leads you work, notes you write, email copy you approve, and the outcomes you record.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps and error traces. We keep these to run and debug the service, not to profile you.
Google user data
If you choose to connect your Google account, AppraisePartners requests only the permissions below. Each is optional, each is granted by you, and each can be withdrawn at any time without losing your account.
Sending email — gmail.send
Lets the product send the outreach you have approved from your own Gmail address, so replies arrive in your real inbox and the conversation belongs to you rather than to a third-party sending tool. This permission can only send. It cannot read, delete or modify anything in your mailbox. Nothing is ever sent without a human approving it.
Calendar — calendar.events, calendar.readonly
Reads your existing events so the product can propose times you are genuinely free, and creates the meetings you book off a reply so you do not retype them. We read event times and titles for that purpose only. We do not use your calendar to build any profile of you.
Reading email — gmail.readonly (only where you enable it)
Where you switch it on, this lets the product match replies back to the outreach that produced them, classify which replies are worth answering first, and surface enquiries about your listings that would otherwise be buried. We access only what is needed for those features.
Limited Use disclosure. AppraisePartners' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Concretely, that means we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell or transfer it, we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, to resolve a specific support issue you have raised, where required by law, or on data that has been aggregated and de-identified for security and abuse-prevention purposes — and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
How Google data is stored and deleted
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to make API calls on your behalf.
- We store the minimum needed to run the features above — for example the identifier of a thread and the classification we derived from it, rather than a wholesale copy of your mailbox.
- Disconnecting deletes it. Disconnect your Google account in the product, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and we delete the stored tokens and derived Gmail and Calendar data within 30 days.
- Closing your account deletes all of it, on the same 30-day timetable.
- You can also request deletion at any time by writing to privacy@appraisepartners.com.
Property owner information
To do its job the product processes information about commercial property owners: name, the property address, mailing address, ownership history, and business contact details. This comes from public county records and licensed commercial data providers, not from the individuals themselves and not from any broker's mailbox.
If you are a property owner and want to know what we hold about you, or want it corrected or erased, write to privacy@appraisepartners.com. We will action it, and we will tell you where the record came from.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. Ever. We share it only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service — cloud hosting, database hosting, email delivery, and error monitoring — each under contract and each processing data only on our instructions. We will also disclose data where we are legally required to.
Where data is processed
The service is operated from Sweden and hosted on infrastructure in the European Union and the United States. Transfers out of the EEA rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability, and you can object to processing. Write to privacy@appraisepartners.com. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority; in Sweden that is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to the people who need it. Tokens for Google accounts are held encrypted with a separate key. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.
Children
AppraisePartners is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything material we will tell users by email before it takes effect.
